By Afolabi Nelson
The Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA) has started a second round of property enumeration for owners affected by the Oworonshoki regeneration project. The exercise, held at Oloworo Palace in Kosofe Local Government, aims to identify and compensate eligible property owners with valid documents.
LASURA’s General Manager, Oladimeji Animashaun, led the exercise alongside his team, community leaders, security officials, civil society representatives, and journalists. Many residents who missed the first round turned out to participate.
Animashaun praised the residents’ cooperation, noting their confidence grew after 79 people received compensation in the first phase. He also thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for keeping his promise to compensate affected residents.
Those taking part were asked to collect and fill out enumeration forms and submit necessary documents, including their LASSRA ID, passport photos, proof of land ownership, and bank details. A joint committee of LASURA officials, community representatives, and palace members will verify the submissions.
