WAFCON 2024: Nigeria vs Botswana – Kick-Off Time and How to Watch Super Falcons’ Second Group Match.

By Hellen Ayodeji.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria are preparing for a pivotal second group-stage match in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Led by coach Justin Madugu, the Super Falcons are set to face Botswana in their second Group B clash at the 2024 WAFCON. Nigeria began their campaign in dominant fashion, with goals from Asisat Oshoala, Rinsola Babajide, and Chiwendu Ihezuo securing a strong start in their quest for a record-extending 10th continental title.

Botswana, meanwhile, are making only their second appearance at the tournament, having made their WAFCON debut in 2022.

Botswana are still searching for their first point in the tournament after falling to a defeat against Algeria’s Les Verts in their opening match.

Coached by Gaolethoo Nkutlwe, the team is spearheaded by promising young striker Refilwe Tholakele.

Botswana typically sit deep in a compact, low-block shape to frustrate opponents and strike on the counter.

After their impressive victory over Tunisia, the Super Falcons should enjoy the lion’s share of possession and look to dictate the tempo.

Nigeria meet Botswana on Thursday, 10 July 2025, at Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca. Kick-off is set for 8 p.m. Nigerian time, with live coverage on DStv, SABC Sport, SuperSport, and AfroSport.
