The 9th National Youth Games in Asaba is ending with a lot of excitement as Delta State athletes fight hard to move up the medals table.
Right now, Delta is in third place with 23 gold, 27 silver, and 27 bronze medals. They are four gold medals behind Team Edo, who are second with 27 gold, 11 silver, and 16 bronze medals. Team Lagos is leading with 38 gold, 18 silver, and 16 bronze medals.
Sports analysts say Delta still has a chance to climb higher if they perform well in the remaining events. Six sports badminton, athletics, wrestling, ayo, kickboxing, and abula will be decided today, and many medals are still available.
All eyes are now on Team Delta to see if they can make a late push and prove themselves as champions once again.
