The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has shut down several businesses in Ikorodu for repeatedly breaking environmental laws, including noise pollution.
The enforcement team visited areas such as Agodo Gas Line, Odogunyan Industrial Layout, Ita Oluwo Junction, Haruna, Ipakodo Road, and Ebute, sealing hotels, bars, lounges, and factories that violated state regulations.
Among those sealed were Zero Square Bar & Lounge, Starex Poly, Limpex Resources, Skipper Nigeria Ltd, NDO Hotel & Suites, Embassy Lounge, Beechwood Guest House, and A-Star Pencil.
LASEPA General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, said the agency remains committed to protecting the environment and public health. He warned that LASEPA will maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of environmental abuse and urged residents and business owners to comply with environmental laws.
