Police, NBA to Review Tinted Glass Policy

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Nigerian Bar Association’s Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) have agreed to review the tinted glass policy to better serve public interest and national security.

NBA-SPIDEL Chairman, Prof. Paul Ananaba (SAN), said this in Lagos while speaking about the upcoming SPIDEL 2025 Conference. He explained that the move followed public complaints about police harassment of motorists with slightly tinted windows.

According to him, both parties agreed to suspend enforcement of the tinted permit while a joint committee reviews the policy. The committee will assess its legal and security aspects and propose new guidelines for implementation.
