Two Killed in Onitsha Road Accident

Two people died on Thursday morning in an accident along the Owerri Onitsha Road, Anambra State. The crash, which happened around 8:20 a.m., involved a tricycle and a trailer carrying a container.

According to witnesses, the trailer was driving through a bad section of the road when the container fell off and crushed the tricycle carrying four passengers. Two people were trapped and died on the spot, while the other two escaped unhurt.

FRSC Sector Commander Bridget Asekhauno confirmed the incident and expressed sadness over the loss of lives. She said officers from the Upper Iweka Outpost responded promptly and urged motorists to drive carefully and obey traffic rules to prevent future accidents.
