United Nigeria Airlines has apologised to Nollywood actress Bolaji Ogunmola and other passengers following disruptions to a scheduled Ekiti–Lagos flight.
The airline’s apology followed Ogunmola’s public complaint over a delayed flight that left her stranded in Ekiti, causing professional and financial losses as she was due in Lagos for a film shoot.
In a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, Chibuike Uloka, the airline explained that flight UN0623, scheduled for January 7, 2026, was disrupted due to unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
It said affected passengers were promptly notified through email and text messages.
United Nigeria Airlines added that the flight was specially reintroduced on January 8, 2026, despite the Ekiti–Lagos route not being part of its scheduled services for that day.
The airline said it also ensured full compliance with Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority Consumer Protection Regulations.
Reaffirming its commitment to safety and customer satisfaction, the airline offered an unreserved apology to Ogunmola and all affected passengers, pledging to improve service delivery and uphold the highest standards of operational excellence.
